And as they say in my mother's homeland of Sri Lanka, Ayubowan! We are honored to introduce ourselves here and provide some information about the wildlife conservation detection dog team surveys we conduct. We hope you enjoy our story, our passion for this work, and we would love to hear from you too!
We specialize in conducting non-invasive wildlife detection surveys to assist researchers and conservation entities collect data on difficult to find live animals, nests, scats, diseases, plants, and more.

They were born to search and just waiting to be discovered!
Ptero was found as a stray originally, and as is the case with many high drive dogs, Lady had failed to adapt to life in a pet home and had been sent to three different shelters.
Both dogs were discovered by National Disaster Search Dog Foundation and then given the opportunity to career change to conservation detection. Since then they have been professionally trained and employed in conservation scent detection and both have achieved industry leading efficiency rates.
In the United States of America, there is no governing board or certification for conservation detection dog teams. That being said, it's extremely important that teams performing this work uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. Our team started with and was trained by Rogue Detection Teams, a distinguished organization within the field that has been performing this method for over 20 years. We then went on to work alongside Lauralea Oliver of K9inSCENTive, an esteemed CPDT-KA & CNWI professional dog trainer and experienced ecology detector dog handler/trainer. Our team has successfully participated in triple-blind searcher efficiency testing on multiple projects. Sarah brings recent graduate level biology education to her survey methods and her team achieved approval as a certified conservation detection team by the American Society of Canine Trainers International.
As a team we go wherever we are needed! Helping researchers, assisting with wildlife conservation, and performing this work is our life's mission. Therefore, we stay mobile with a travel trailer set up that is rugged and ready to roll.
